Mindful Mission

Forty-two percent of high schoolers report persistent sadness or hopelessness, a number nearly fifty percent higher than it was for the generation before us. Most of them never see anyone. Our generation is not quiet about mental health, so the gap is not awareness. It is cost. On average, eleven years pass between a young person's first symptoms and their first treatment. Every dollar on this page pays for therapy for a Houston student who could not otherwise afford it, given anonymously so nobody trades their privacy for care. We raise the money and hand it to people licensed to do the real work.
